Denver Music Summit
DENVER MUSIC SUMMIT, NOV. 22-24
Create Denver, in partnership IMTour and WESTAF, recently hosted the 2013 Denver Music Summit. Programs and performances took place in Denver at the Mercury Café and McNichols Civic Center Building.
National in scope and local in focus, the Denver Music Summit brings together musicians, music industry professionals and enthusiasts to share ideas, learn about current trends, and inspire ingenuity. The summit gives working musicians the professional skills and connections needed to develop their careers and fosters connections to build a sustainable music community.
There are no limits to how music can be packaged, delivered and consumed. As the music industry continues to search for sustainable models, musicians are tasked to abandon conventional formats in a rapidly changing environment and reinvent what success means. At the summit, musicians attended daytime workshops, panels and research presentations to help expand their fan base, enhance their brand, learn key trends in the industry, generate income, and manage a tour, while extending their creative vision.
A special thank you to the performers that participated in the 2013 summit, including PHOX, Gregory Alan Isakov, David Bazan, Ark Life, Carleigh Aikins, Josiah Johnson, The Changing Colors, Chimney Choir, Will Johnson, Tamara Lindeman, Eric D. Johnson, Laura Burhenn, Ian Cooke, Joe Pug, Dessa, DJ Cavem, Esme Patterson, Robert Rutherford, and Andrew Orvedahl with the Narrators,
