Blue Trees Family Day in Skyline Park

Public Art

5/21/2017 10:00 AM

The Blue Trees is an ongoing environmental art installation by artist, Konstantin Dimopoulos. He transforms living trees into a surreal environment so that we stop and notice them. These trees speak for the swathes of Old Forests and Rain Forests that are removed every year around the globe. The colorant is water-based and biologically-safe.

Join us for a FREE Family Day event in Skyline Park on the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver. Help artist Konstantin Dimopoulos color 200 kid-sized trees in 15-gallon buckets and be a part of the Blue Trees installation! Beyond tree coloring, we will host an art zone featuring environmentally-friendly educational activities and other kid’s entertainment. Our partners from various environmental and city agencies will be onsite to discuss the role of trees in our lives, the Ash Borer Beetle problem, and much more.

Date: Sunday, May 21
Time: 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
Location: Skyline Park on the 16th Street Mall in Downtown Denver
