Write Denver Explores the Blue Trees

Public Art

5/20/2017 1:30 PM

The Blue Trees is an ongoing environmental art installation by artist, Konstantin Dimopoulos. He transforms living trees into a surreal environment so that we stop and notice them. These trees speak for the swathes of Old Forests and Rain Forests that are removed every year around the globe. The colorant is water-based and biologically-safe.

Join Lighthouse Writers Workshop as they lead a Write Denver tour of Konstantin Dimopoulos’ The Blue Trees environmental art installation! The tour guide will provide inspired writing prompts as you walk around the Denver Theatre District engaging with The Blue Trees. The tour will end at Uncle Joe’s Hong Kong Bistro for complementary food and beverages, providing an opportunity to discuss the experience and share what everyone wrote.

Date: Saturday, May 20
Time: 1:30 – 3:30 p.m.
Location: The tour will begin and end at Uncle Joe’s Hong Kong Bistro, 891 14th St.
Free, all-ages, and open to the public!
