Discretionary Funding Grants

The Denver County Cultural Council (DCCC) sets aside 5% of the SCFD Denver Tier III allocation to provide discretionary funding in the areas of Organization Development and Innovative Collaborations. Organization Development grants support: marketing and communications, fundraising expansion and diversification, financial management, board development, program and audience development and evaluation, diversity training, purchases or education to improve administrative functions and fiscal integrity, training, education and conferences on non-profit management or professional development, hiring a consultant to address specific issues within the organization or the board, skills building or coaching that provides a one-time service based on expertise the organization does not possess, board and staff long-range planning involving transformational efforts, systemic change, or repositioning of an organization within its artistic space, and more. Innovative Collaboration grants support collaborative projects that show creativity and innovation. A Denver Tier III organization must be the project lead, but the collaboration does NOT have to be with another Tier III organization. It can be with a Tier III or partners from other Tiers or outside of SCFD including creative businesses or non-profit organizations. Organization Development and Innovative Collaboration requests are considered on an annual basis.
