Imaginate! many voices: one song

Imagine celebrating the music of four of the cultures that have made significant contribution to making Denver the vibrant city that it is. Imagine joyfully experiencing musicians from these cultures making music together, blending their flavors into a creative collage of song and sound. This is the Imaginate! concert event which will take place on July 27 at 2 PM in Confluence Park in Denver.

The intention of this concert event is to highlight the fact that we have a potential to enjoy harmonious relationships and be enriched by people who creatively express our common humanity in unique flavors. Bound together by the beat of the heart, which all of us have, Imaginate! will bring Native American, Latin, blues, R&B and rock music to the stage. It will be an afternoon of celebrating our common humanity and declaring our intention to make this world, or at least our city, a wonderful place to live.

The Imaginate! Concert Program:
2 PM – Invocation: Eric Herrera playing Native Flute and bringing a land acknowledgment 
2:30 PM – Celebration of Life: Latin sounds featuring Jude Del Hierro, Tony Valdez, Stephanie Lucero White
3 PM – Brokenness: blues with Peaches Embry and David Michael Boyd
3:30 PM – Picture the Future: R&B with Phil Donaldson
4 PM – Let’s be Peacemakers: country and rock with David Michael Boyd and the whole crew

Imaginate! is a collaboration between Living Fire Arts Network (DBA Blues Behind Bars) and Confluence Ministries of Denver with a generous grant from Denver Arts & Venues through the Denver Music Advancement Fund.
