Live Poetry and Music Jam - Podcast Launch Celebration

In honor of April's poetry month, Blue Pearl Production, a 2021-2022 Denver Music Advancement Fund Recipient from Denver Arts & Venues, will launch a new podcast sharing the unique, powerful, live, improvised spoken word and music event, JAM B4 THE SLAM, an event which started 22 years ago at the Mercury Cafe. In this recurring podcast, poetry with live music becomes an inviting, sense-enveloping experience more accessible to any listener, using the beauty of language, inspiration and transcendent power of music to excite, illuminate and entertain audiences!

In celebration, the general public is invited to Mercury Cafe (2199 California Street, Denver) on Sunday, April 16 to a “Live Poetry Music Jam Launch Celebration” event from 4-6 p.m. Guests will also enjoy the first podcast episode, A Tribute To Marilyn Megenity & Her Mercury Cafe, a poetic ode to a renowned legacy who has supported poetry, music, theater and the Denver arts community for more than 30 years! (The podcast host is PoetSeth, with guest hosts Rosanne Frechette and Ted Vaca.)

LIVE POETRY MUSIC JAM will officially stream worldwide - on your favorite podcast app - at 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 16! 

To also honor the global launch, immediately following the celebration, Blue Pearl Production will record the eighth podcast episode of the LIVE POETRY MUSIC JAM from 6-8 p.m.
