Join us for a Spoken word/Open Mic night honoring Hip-hop & Poetry as a form of social change. Through the power of words, rhyme, rhythm and speaking to our own beat. This open mic is dedicated to the rich influence of hip hop and poetry and it’s impact as a catalyst for social change. Whether you write, perform or simply appreciate the art, we invite you to share your voices, talents, gifts, and stories. This space is open to all bodies, souls and identities and especially for those who believe in the power of poetry Come be apart of a movement redefining our use of words as weapons for justice, equality, and empowerment. *If you would like to sign up to perform a spoken word piece please contact Lakeisha to get on the list at lakeisha.a@icloud.com - this is to ensure a spot for the night, there will be an open mic option towards the end of the night — however, spots are not guaranteed.
