The Public Art Commission pre-application meeting originally scheduled for Wednesday, June 29 at 5:30 p.m. has been moved to Wednesday, July 6 at 5:30 p.m.
Join your Denver Public Art team to learn more three new projects with budgets ranging from $20,000 to $55,000.
The Denver Public Art Team will be hosting a pre-application meeting on Wednesday, June 29 from 5:30 – 6:30 pm. The meeting will cover project backgrounds, goals, and the application process for three recently advertised Requests for Qualifications: Bible Park Playground, Larimer Bridge – Connecting Auraria, and the Wastewater Management Building. Attendees will also get information on callforentry.org (CafE) through which we are accepting applications.
Please attend to learn more about the application process, ask questions, and determine if you’d like to apply for any or all three projects.
Artists who have never received a public art commission, or have never applied for one, are highly encouraged to attend.
This event will be hosted on Zoom. Please register to get information on how to join prior to the event.
Bible Park Playground:
Budget: $20,000.00 USD
Eligibility: Open to artists or artist teams residing in the state of Colorado

The City of Denver’s Public Art Program seeks to commission an artist or team of artists to create an original public artwork, or series of artworks, for the Bible Park project located at 6802 E. Yale Ave., Denver, CO 80224.
The selection panel members have set forth specific goals and parameters for this Public Art project with the hope of creating unique and inspiring works of art for park users, pedestrians and bicyclists, and motorists on Yale Avenue. Full RFQ.
Larimer Bridge - Connecting Auraria:
Budget: Approximately $55,000.00 USD
Eligibility: Artists residing in the United States
DEADLINE: Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 11:59 pm MST
The City of Denver’s Public Art Program seeks to commission an artist or team of artists to create an original public artwork, or series of artworks, for the Larimer Bridge – Connecting Auraria project located on Larimer Street between 14th Street and the Auraria Campus, in Downtown Denver, CO 80202.
The selection panel members have set forth specific goals and parameters for this public art project with the hope of creating unique and inspiring works of art for students on the AHEC campus, and downtown residents, employees and visitors. The panel is invested in creating connections between the Auraria Campus and Downtown Denver. Full RFQ.
Wastwater Management Building:
Budget: $55,000.00 USD
Eligibility: Open to artists or artist teams residing in the state of Colorado
DEADLINE: Tuesday, July 12, 2022, 11:59 pm MST
The City of Denver’s Public Art Program seeks to commission an artist or team of artists to create an original public artwork, or series of artworks, for the Wastewater Management Building project located at 2000 W. 3rd Ave., Denver, CO 80223.
The selection panel members seek unique and inspiring works of art for employees who report to the building daily. The panel is invested in creating a space for employees of the building to gather and take pride in; one that is inclusive, accessible and welcoming to all. Full RFQ.
