Denver Performing Arts Complex. Budget: Approximately $387,000.00 USD. Eligibility: Artists or Artist Teams residing in the United States and internationally
Denver Public Art seeks to commission an artist or artist team to create original public artwork for the Denver Performing Arts Complex located at 1400 Curtis Street. The goal of the public art commission is to create iconic, dynamic and inviting artwork(s) to adorn several outdoor concrete façades of the Arts Complex. The selection panel hopes the new artwork will celebrate the spirit of the performing arts in Denver and invites potential artists to create something unexpected and dynamic for the complex.
Interested artists may submit qualifications through Monday, Aug. 12, 11:59 p.m. at https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=13798
Wellington Webb Municipal Building. Budget: Approximately $25,000-$50,000 (per commission) USD. Eligibility: Artists or Artist Teams residing in the United States
Denver Public Art seeks to commission five artists or artist teams to create public artworks for the interior of the Wellington Webb Municipal Office Building located at 201 W Colfax Ave. The goal of the project is to commission artwork that celebrates, illuminates and embodies the spirit of the work municipal employees do for the City and County of Denver, specifically the agencies currently housed in the Webb Building. Selected artists will have the opportunity to connect and collaborate with city workers and patrons of the building to inform the creation of the work. During the contracted timeframe, artists will have access to a shared clean studio space inside the Webb Building to use for their own artmaking, workshops, and meetings or collaborations with city employees and the public.
Interested artists may submit qualifications through Monday, August 19, 2024, 11:59 P.M. MST. at https://artist.callforentry.org/festivals_unique_info.php?ID=13797
This event will be hosted on Zoom. Interested applicants are asked to register to get information on how to join prior to the event.
