Grants

Arts in Society is a collaborative grant-making program that supports the integration of arts and culture into multiple disciplines critical to the health and well-being of Coloradans. This grant is administered by RedLine and funded by a cohort of Colorado foundations.

The Cultural Partner Activation Program provides financial support for events at our venues in an effort to combat the long-term financial impacts of COVID-19. DAV utilizes American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to pay for operational costs such as security, janitorial and third-party equipment rentals. 

Denver Arts & Venues presents the DAV Arts & Culture Fund. We invite cultural organizations, non- and for-profit entities, educational institutions, neighborhood and community-based organizations and individual artists to apply. This fund will provide up to $15,000 in support for new or existing programs inspired by one or more of the seven vision elements outlined in Denver’s Cultural Plan.

Denver Music Advancement Fund supports music-centered initiatives that create equity, connection and social change for Denver residents. Past projects have used music as a tool to support mental health and wellness, education, youth engagement, literature, film, dance, theater, visual arts, technology, climate action, global connectivity, and other social innovations.

Funded by DAV and administered by Downtown Denver Partnership. Grant amounts will range from $500 up to $25,000 and will fund free downtown Denver events and activations that celebrate the vibrancy, history, and future of our city, through music, art, culture and more.

EDI Arts & Culture Fund supports individuals, organizations or community-driven projects that elevate the communities represented by each of the City and County of Denver’s ten Human Rights and Community Partnerships Commissions (HRCP), and that exemplify the tenets of equity, diversity, inclusion and social justice. 

Equity in Arts Learning for Colorado Youth (EAL) seeks to increase access to arts education for historically marginalized youth. This grant is administered by Think 360 Arts with additional support from the Bonfils-Stanton Foundation, the Gates Foundation, Colorado Creative Industries and The Denver Foundation.

Mayor’s Awards for Excellence in Arts & Culture recognizes individuals and organizations that make significant and lasting contributions to the arts in the City and County of Denver. All winners receive a stipend to further their work. 

P.S. You Are Here (PSYAH) funds community-led outdoor projects in Denver's public spaces. These projects aim to transform underutilized or sometimes failing neighborhood elements to increase collaboration, honor heritage, build civic engagement, beautify neighborhoods and enrich communities.

Bonfils-Stanton Foundation and Denver Arts & Venues are proud to launch the Social Impact Artist Award. The award honors the outstanding contributions of three Denver-based artists or artist collectives who are dedicated to championing positive impact and social justice through their artistic practice with a $50,000 award that includes $15,000 for a socially engaged project. 

Urban Arts Fund: Engage is an offshoot of our UAF mural program that focuses more intentionally on art for community–building, healing and positive social change. These immersion projects are focused in places like hospitals, schools and youth services centers and bring artists together with the communities that will be experiencing the murals in their daily lives.
